Ring Gage for checking outside threads. Go/No-Go threaded rings and plug gages are tools used to quickly and efficiently check the conformity of threads. If a part is correctly threaded, the “Go” tool should be able to screw or unscrew without resistance. If the “Go” tool cannot be screwed in, this indicates that the thread on the part is too small and therefore not within specification. If the “No-Go” tool can be screwed in, this indicates that the thread on the part is too large and therefore not within specification. Go/No-Go threaded rings and plug gages are therefore essential to ensure quality and precision in the production of threaded parts.
